The Latino American Who’s Who Recognizes Dr. Lydia Valderrama

Dr. Lydia Valderrama, MDMineola, NY/LWW Press/August 20, 2012 – –Dr. Lydia Valderrama, MD, Long Island Women’s Health Care Group, was selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Latino American Who’s Who.

Long Island Women’s Health Care Group is an Obstetrics and Gynecology practice with three locations: 135 Mineola Boulevard, Mineola, NY 11501; 1575 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040; and 175 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 303, Syosset, NY 11791. Dr. Valderrama has been practicing since 1979 and had joined the Mineola practice in 1983. Her secret to success is hard work and enjoying what she does.

Dr. Valderrama received the Ten Years Attending of the Year Physician Award from Winthrop University Hospital, the Best Physicians Magazine Award for the past 10 years, and Service Awards from Winthrop Hospital for 25 years of service in 2008. Additionally, she received the Outstanding Service Award for Medical Staff from Winthrop Hospital in 2010. Dr. Valderrama has a Undergraduate Degree from City College, Harlem, NY and a Medical Degree from Stonybrook University, Stonybrook, NY. She did her Internship and Residency at Winthrop University Hospital.

The Latino American Who’s Who is a New York based biographical publication that selects and distinguishes leading Latino professionals throughout the world who have attained a recognizable degree of success in their field of endeavor and thereby contribute to the growth of their industry and culture.  The Latino Who’s Who promotes an awareness of the achievements of the Latino professional and executive by creating a networking platform to provide recognition of individual accomplishments. The annual registry of the Latino American “Who’s Who” is formatted as an elegant hard cover edition as well as an online edition that provides information on recognized individuals. It also contains cross references by names, professions and family country of origin.

Mineola office open Friday November 2nd after Hurricane Sandy

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy. Currently our office phones are down. However office hours will resume in Mineola tomorrow Friday November 2nd beginning at 10am to 4pm. Dr.Ventimiglia and our PA will be in the office to see patients scheduled for tomorrow or any patients that missed their appointments this week due to Hurricane Sandy. Emergency walk-ins welcome. If you need to communicate with us for any reason please go to our Facebook page. We are finding that it is the best way to get in touch with us since we do not have access to the phones or email.

Walk For A World Without Breast Cancer

We are so excited to announce that we will be walking in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer again Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Jones Beach State Park Field 5 and 4, Long Island, New York. Please go to our team page to either donate or join our team!

Everyone who walks in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or makes a donation is fueling the fight to end breast cancer. Since Making Strides began 20 years ago, breast cancer death rates have declined 32 percent.  When more walkers raise money to fight breast cancer, there will be more survivors celebrating more birthdays.
