Dr. Lydia Valderrama Will Be Awarded The Lifetime Achievement Award
In gratitude for her remarkable lifetime of service to NYU Winthrop and the communities it serves, Dr. Lydia Valderrama will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award on May 4, 2018. Dr. Valderrama has been a dedicated and respected doctor with NYU Winthrop for 39 years. She began her journey at the hospital in 1979 as a resident, and continued her journey as an admitting physician in 1983 when she joined Long Island Women’s Health Care Group. Dr. Valderrama values the long standing relationships she has with many of her patients, cultivated through the many years she has practiced. She has been there with them through the good and sometimes bad, but never wavering in her loyalty to her patients. There are a number of wonderful people and staff at the Hospital, and it is very much of an honor to be recognized with such a wonderful award.

Dr. Lydia Valderrama Awarded The “A Doctor of Distinction Award” From Pulse Magazine
Dr. Lydia Valderrama was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology for the ability to care for patients from adolescence to elder years. “There is a continuity of care not only with my patients, but also within their families. It is very rewarding that I now am delivering to the same woman I delivered years ago.”
